The HB 400, HB 450 and HB 500 are wear-resistant steels used in parts of machinery that must have high resistance to abrasive wear due to sand, soil, stones and the like. This load occurs among others with industrial hoppers, earth moving buckets, demolition equipment and excavator components. The increased resistance to wear is achieved by significantly increased hardness of these steels compared to normal structural steel.
These steels are kept in stock in thicknesses from 4 to 80 mm.
